Intermittent engine cutting out

My GreyLady has been playing up for the last 2 years, cutting out whilst driving along when engine is warm. I checked the and replaced the needle valves (one carb was overflowing). I replaced the condenser and the rubber diaphragm in the fuel pump a few years ago. My options now seem to be:
1. Replace the ignition coil - which make?
2. Send the distributor to the distributor doctor.
3. Or both?
I need the car to be ready for the end of May.

Try replacing the rotor arm with a Red one and the coil with a  Golden one, both available from Dist. Doc.
Carbon filled HT leads can also be problematic replace with old fashioned copper wire

Good luck Peter

Thanks Peter. I changed the HT leads to copper a few years back. I’ve been lent another coil and will test tomorrow if it’s dry here.
In contact with art in at distributor doctor.
