Alan  1 I think I read somewhere that the complicated threaded design was to maximise the contact area between the suspension pin and the trunnion sleeve and thus reduce load /wear on the bearing surfaces.I have seen some very badly worn ones probably due to lack of regular greasing. 2 Set up position  is restricted by the flats in the suspension pin and the cotter pins that lock it in position.   Peter Posted by Peter Martin 04/09/2017 20:46:45
