so that prospective new members browsing the site can get an idea of
the range of cars on the market within the Club. Neither the Alvis Owner
Club, the Calendar Editor nor the Webmaster can accept responsibility
for statements made in advertisements Advertisements from non-members and traders can be accepted at a flat rate of £12, including VAT, payable in advance. These must relate to Alvis cars only. Members may advertise free of charge. Neither the Calendar nor the Website recognise any submissions which do not include an address, preferably a physical address but a telephone number at least, in addition to an e-mail address. The Business Advertisements (Disclosure) Order, 1977, requires all advertisements by people seeking to sell goods in the course of a business to make the fact clear. Consumers should be able to tell whether an advertisement relates to a sale by a trader or a private seller. It is the responsibility of the trader to comply with the order by making the AOC aware by marking advertising copy "Trade". | Ref. 01195 1936 4.3 tourer, Ch.no 13167, Engine number 14199 Reg Number EML 461.This car was totally rebuilt in the mid 1990's , the 4 door tourer body being built by Compton's of Welshpool, finished in cream and red with matching red leather and grey carpets, recent work completed includes overhaul of back axle with new c/wheel and pinion, and a fully reconditioned engine fitted along with rebuilt dynamo, starter and water pump and new stainless steel exhaust in July 2010,. *TA21 saloon, WFX 291, a very sound car in excellent condition, engine and mechanicals very good, many Red Triangle bills. The car drives very well and is ready to go with an MOT. This is one of the most original cars I have seen for some time, the bodywork is superb in grey metallic. The door gaps are straight and even, the panel fit is excellent and clearly very little repair has been ever been needed on this car. The boot floor and inner wings are as they should be both on top and underneath. The red leather interior is excellent as is the walnut veneer. Four speed manual, the car drives as it should, but with the benefit of power steering which has been fitted at some stage of the car's life. The chrome is immaculate and under the bonnet everything is tidy if not spotless. With a day or two of cleaning and detailing, this car would be a serious concourse contender. | Ref. 01191 Alvis Speed 20 Charlesworth DHC. Outstanding example of this rare and highly desirable DHC. This car was the last but two of the SC 19.82 models produced, and was delivered to A Freeman of Kent on 28th November 1935, with registration GY 7177.Full and correct matching numbers car, Chassis No 12772, Engine no 13222, Car no 17738 and Charleworth body no 13668. Subsequent owners included Jim Betterton and Milton Miner, who undertook a restoration to concours standards in the mid 1980’s. The car was subsequently awarded a national competition First Prize Winner Award from the Classic Car Club of America, and remains in absolutely pristine condition. Finished in British Racing Green with Salmon trim, inbuilt jacking system and lubrication system, as well as fitted tools and owners handbook. This car is completely original and is not a rebodied coupe or later replacement body – this is the original Charlesworth coachwork. Any inspection welcome. This car would be highly desired by lovers of the Red triangle. Untimely death of the owner is the only reason this outstanding vehicle has become available. An exception is Chris Prince, who consistently sends WM images of just the right size and resolution. WM has personally inspected the TD 21 Chris is selling and can confirm it is a superb example: it brought back memories of his daily driver of many years ago, and the girlfriend who drove it so far, so fast and so well! | |||||||||||

the car in 1972 with 73,000 miles recorded.Total body restoration 1991/2,
