you are interested in any of the cars for sale,
then MEMBERS ONLY can contact Robin
Gilbert quoting their membership number and the reference. RG will
then pass on their telephone number etc. to the advertiser. Telephone
numbers and contact details for advertisers must remain confidential
within the Club, and will not be published on the website unless this
is specifically requested in writing. The older advertisements are included
so that prospective new members browsing the site can get an idea of
the range of cars on the market within the Club. Neither the Alvis Owner
Club, the Calendar Editor nor the Webmaster can accept responsibility
for statements made in advertisements Advertisements from non-members and traders can be accepted at a flat rate of £12, including VAT, payable in advance. These must relate to Alvis cars only. Members may advertise free of charge. Neither the Calendar nor the Website recognise any submissions which do not include an address, preferably a physical address but a telephone number at least, in addition to an e-mail address. The Business Advertisements (Disclosure) Order, 1977, requires all advertisements by people seeking to sell goods in the course of a business to make the fact clear. Consumers should be able to tell whether an advertisement relates to a sale by a trader or a private seller. It is the responsibility of the trader to comply with the order by making the AOC aware by marking advertising copy "Trade". Advertisements known to be from traders have the letter "T" shown in brackets at the end of the text. |

| CHRIS PRINCE'S CARS FOR SALE
www.chrisprince.co.uk
Cars are selling well at the moment, especially the Park Ward three litres, where have all the good ones gone? *TE21, car no. 27088. Restored some time ago by Red Triangle, it has shown signs of deterioration and has been ‘approached’ by an angle grinder to investigate the lumps and bubbles. Thus it looks strangely battle scarred and needs some bodywork. However the chassis and main body structure is sound. Minor bits of chrome have been removed but everything comes with the car, nothing is missing. The engine is good and the car drives, although there is no MOT. 5- speed and wire wheels, but no power steering. Cream leather interior in nice condition, this car will make good with the coachwork done. £5000. (T) *TA21, car no 24982, someone has spent a great deal of money on the bodywork and retrimming the interior. Unfortunately that was about eight or ten years ago and the car has been badly stored since. The bodywork has stood up very well but the paintwork really needs doing again. The seats however are superb, almost like new still, and the carpets and headlining are still OK. The chrome is good but the car is missing bumpers. The engine runs beautifully and the car will drive, but the brakes need overhaul to be roadworthy. £5000 (T) *TA21, car number 24843, MOL 282 been off the road for many years and so needs some gentle attention. The interior is unusually good for a car of this nature, although the body looks a bit moth-eaten. But not so bad, I would be happy to run around with it like that, but maybe I have a bad image to maintain. Anyway, £2850 will buy it, these cars are beginning to catch on and prices are likely to rise. (T) For any of the cars listed, contact Chris Prince 01939 270662 e-mail alvisparts@btinternet.com based in North Shropshire. Part exchange with other Alvises always considered.

| March 2008 Three cars, plus Chris Prince's selection, all post-war. This is the lowest number ever, and the Webmaster thinks the first time when NO pre-war cars have been listed. Two pre-war Alvises are however included in Brightwells' March auction, WM is tempted to bid on one, but unfortunately Mrs. WM is now wise to his "I'll just put in a low bid and buy it behind the rostrum" technique which has worked on three occasions in the past. As at 3rd March, a member has come with a late plea to include a decent-looking TC 21/100 which has been added. Thank you, Angus! 18th March, and the welcome addition of a Speed 25 . | ||||||
